Vertical Facilitator Learning Journey

Level Three: Pathway to Mastery

In The Vertical Facilitator Deep Dive, you experienced a deepened sense of your ability to effect transformation within groups and teams.

You came to be in touch with a new set of skills and distinctions for working with people, and you observed yourself beginning to leverage those skills and distinctions for the developmental betterment of the individuals and groups around you.

You began to feel a greater sense of confidence and groundedness in your Stand as an agent for transformative change in others. You found yourself in a powerful community of mutual challenge, commitment, support and camaraderie.  Perhaps more than anything, something shifted in your way of being; an opening occurred in your ability to be present in the moment.

In short, a new possibility for leaderful impact opened up for you.

Pathway to Mastery is designed to take you from relatively “new-to-the-field”, to a place of sustained impact.

To deepen what you learned in the Deep Dive (and since) and to make it applicably real within the unique situational environments in which you work. To deepen your capacity for presence and empathic connection, both in your work and in your life. To fill in the many blanks left from the Deep Dive, and to establish your authority as a skilled agent for transformative change.

In Pathways, you will go deeper as you come to grips with, and transform, ways of being that limit your capacity for authentic impact with others, and in the world more generally. At the same time, you will develop a powerful foundation of practice for skillfully engaging with groups and teams in ways that elevate their capacity for collaborative and reflective action.

Outcomes and Promises of the Course

The course promises to substantively raise your level of transformative impact with the groups and teams you work with, as well as unfolding your own inner development. Along these lines…

  • You will have at your ready disposal a personal toolbox of patterns and practices that you can leverage in the transformational work you do both in your work, and in your life, more generally.

  • You will have a deeper ability to operate across the five windows of attention, with particular emphasis given to those windows that are most relevant to the specific work you do, or those whose mastery is key to your quest.

  • You will deepen your capacity for developmental listening, which is the ability to sense and respond developmentally to what is happening in a given moment.

  • You will have a clear understanding of the unique specific ways in which you bring vertical learning patterns alive in your particular work context and setting. You will have a sense of your unique vertical facilitator “voice”.

  • You will work and playfully study together within a social container that is powerfully committed to everyone’s learning and inner development.

  • You will continue to develop yourself not only in your work, but in your relationships, your creativity, and ultimately your life.
